Union Activity Report 2007

USAID awards The Union to conduct a 5-year TB programme
  The Union has been selected to be the recipient of an USD$80 million Cooperative Agreement for TB research in a recent United States Agency for International Development (USAID) competition.

  The guide, Tobacco Cessation Interventions for Tuberculosis Patients: A Guide for Low-Income Countries, specifically addresses the association between tobacco smoke and tuberculosis, and how tuberculosis patients can be helped to discontinue tobacco use:
